Insulating doors

Closures for cold rooms and deep freeze rooms

In the food industry and in retail, constant temperatures are crucial for the quality and shelf life of stored products. With our insulated doors in swing and sliding door design cold rooms can be down to 0°C and freezer rooms down to -28°C can be equipped. They are mainly used to close off smaller cold rooms or larger cold stores in supermarkets, butchers, the food industry or food logistics. are used. These doors ensure quick pedestrian passage, to retrieve temperature-sensitive products for example.

The refrigerator and freezer compartment doors are characterised by robustness and durability and they are available in customised sizes.

As a family business, we are aware of our responsibility for future generations and, at the customer's request, offer all products for property construction optionally CO2-neutral on request. In this way, customers have the option to offset remaining emissions and make a contribution to climate protection when purchasing our products. The Hörmann sustainability strategy aims to reduce and avoid emissions.

Insulated doors for cold rooms

Our HID-80 hinged cold room doors and HIS-80 sliding cold room doors have been developed for applications down to 0 °C. Both doors have an 80 mm thick door leaf that is foamed with polyurethane (PU).

Two surface variants are available: stainless steel (circular matt or polished) and coated steel (RAL 9002, optional RAL of your choice). The doors are supplied with a maximum degree of prefabrication and can be installed quickly and easily with a thermal block frame. Since the doors are fitted in front of the wall opening, fitting is possible in all construction situations.

The HID-80 cold room hinged door is available with a maximum size of 1230 mm x 2300 mm. The co-extruded, all-round seal of the door leaf was specially developed for this door.

The HIS-80 cold room sliding door is available as a manually operated sliding door with a maximum size of 4000 mm x 2800 mm. When the door is closed, a specially developed seal also prevents energy loss. The door is designed with extra-large rollers for easy handling with little actuation force. You can also choose between a wall guide and bottom guide.

Insulated doors for freezers

Freezer rooms for temperatures down to -28°C can be equipped with our HID-120 hinged freezer room doors and HIS-120 sliding freezer room doors. Both provide reliable insulation thanks to their 120 mm thick PU-foamed door leaf. Air exchange is prevented when the door is closed.

The Thermo block frame, which is prepared at the factory, keeps fitting time to a minimum. The integrated, self-regulating frame heating prevents the sealing from freezing while minimising energy consumption. This means that the sealings remain intact for longer and the door can be opened easily at any time. The all-round seals of the freezer doors can be easily replaced in case of maintenance.

The HID-120 and the HIS-120 are available in two surface finishes: in stainless steel, either circular matt or polished, and in coated steel in RAL 9002, optionally also in RAL of your choice.

The HID-120 swing door is available in a maximum size of 1230 mm x 2300 mm, the HIS-120 sliding door in a maximum size of 4000 mm x 2800 mm. The sliding door is manually operated and can be fitted with floor or wall guides.

Combination of insulated doors and swing doors or insulated doors

Maximum energy efficiency and optimised traffic flow

A combination of insulated doors and swing doors or insulated gates can create an ideal synergy depending on the area of application.

Sliding doors can be combined with Hörmann swing doors. Whilst the HIS-120 sliding door is open when frozen goods are being retrieved or stored, the double-action door keeps the cold air in the freezer, reducing energy consumption.

The doors can also be combined with the F 4010 Cold high-speed folding door. This flexible door has a triple-insulated curtain and an opening speed of 1 m/s to ensure a fast flow of traffic. This reduces cooling losses in deep-freeze areas during daytime operation when the insulated sliding door is open and the deep-freeze door is in use. In addition, the sliding door is closed at night to achieve optimal insulation.

Easy installation thanks to maximum degree of prefabrication and maintenance-free hinges

Easy installation thanks to maximum degree of prefabrication and maintenance-free hinges

Hörmann insulated doors are supplied with the maximum degree of prefabrication, which makes installation quick and cost-saving installation quickly and cost-effectively. Wide sliding doors are also used in individual segments and can be conveniently connected on site using threaded rods. This saves you time and money.

The maintenance-free hinges of the insulating hinged doors are designed for a service life of at least 250,000 door cycles designed.

The hinges are also designed to riseso that the door rises slightly when opened. This minimises the friction path of the floor seal. When closed, the door seals perfectly to the floor. For a modern look, the hinges are completely in black black colour.

Heated frame Thermo-Blockframe

Heated frame Thermo-Blockframe

The insulated doors are supplied with the thermal block frame. Thanks to the self-regulating, integrated heating cable in the door frame reliably prevents the door seal from freezing the door seal is reliably prevented from freezing. This keeps the door seals remain intact for longer and the door can be opened or closed at any time without any problems.

Track system for sliding doors

Track system for sliding doors

Our sliding doors have an extra robust robust, maintenance-free running track system made of stainless steel. It is fitted with recesses that optimally seal the door leaf against door frame and floor. Due to the large rollers the sliding door runs smoothly.
